The Lord is good! In Cebu City, we have started building new houses for the 12 Pasuk families affected by fire during Christmas. Since there is still machine work in the disaster area, not all families have permission to build their homes permanently yet. Therefore, we have divided the project into two stages: In phase 1, we build a “mobile” structure equipped with a corrugated iron roof and tarpaulin side walls. If necessary, the house can still be moved by a few strong men. In phase 2 we hammer in the walls, door and windows, and the floor construction is founded in concrete. The wood will be protected with a cheerful coat of paint and inside we will install electricity and lighting. The municipality is expected to reconnect the neighborhood to electricity and water around the end of February. The Pasuk children are doing well. They all have food and drink, a place to sleep and clothes, they go to school and come to the Pasuk project every Saturday. Dear friends and donors, we will keep you updated. More pictures soon. Also on behalf of the Pasuk children and their parents/caregivers, thank you very much for your donations, compassion and prayers ♥
