Emergency aid for typhoon victims

In December, super typhoon "Rai" swept a trail of destruction across the Philippines. The city of Cebu, where we work, was also badly damaged. The natural disaster left 24 sponsor children homeless. Pasuk is there, providing emergency aid to the affected families. Meanwhile, the homes of three sponsor children have been renovated. Wood and corrugated sheets are scarce, because everyone on the island has started to do odd jobs. In the coming weeks we hope to repair all the damaged houses with a team of carpenters, so that the children will have a good roof over their heads and be able to sleep peacefully again.

Emergency fund opened Pasuk Foundation has opened an emergency fund to help the affected children in their basic needs and reconstruction of the houses. Would you like to contribute to this? You can easily donate below. Thank you very much in advance!

Heavy damage Typhoon "Rai" proved to be by no means an everyday storm when it struck the Philippines on Dec. 16. Just off the coast, it greatly increased in strength. The super typhoon caused massive flooding, especially in the eastern Philippines. Houses collapsed like houses of cards and much infrastructure also broke down. More than 7.3 million people were affected. In the city of Cebu, where we work, the havoc was also enormous. Power failed everywhere as electricity poles snapped off like matchsticks and falling trees ripped power lines. Mobile networks remained somewhat intact, albeit with a very unstable signal. Water supplies also failed, leaving millions of people short of clean drinking water. Gastrointestinal infections began to spread, resulting in diarrhea. Currently, fortunately, the water supply in Cebu has been reasonably restored. The biggest challenge is still the lack of power, especially in the evening and at night. People suffer from the heat and mosquitoes, and sleep poorly as a result.

Prayer Request Would you please pray for the sponsor children and all those other people who have lost their homes due to the typhoon. That the Lord will provide what is most needed in the short and long term. Thank you so much for your compassion and prayers.
