The 2021 annual report has been published

We look back on a challenging year of home schooling for our students. A year that ended with a major fire and a super typhoon. Together with you, we were able to offer educational opportunities and hope for the future to over 70 children growing up in extreme poverty. The ever-changing situation requires flexibility from our team and customized solutions in the fight against poverty.

Fire and storm
What first looked like a fairly stable year, 2021 suddenly ended in utter chaos. In late November, the slum of sisters Claudine and Charilyn was completely destroyed by fire. And less than three weeks later, super typhoon "Rai" hit the island of Cebu, leaving many of our sponsor children suddenly without a roof over their heads. The damage in the city was enormous, and for a long time there was no electricity and running water. The Pasuk team got to work as quickly as possible to provide aid to the children and repair damaged homes.

Gratitude
Board President Martijn Ros: "In many ways, 2021 was also a very beautiful year. Every week we were able to encourage sponsor children and their parents during home visits. We are extremely happy with Glenda - our part-time subject teacher - who successfully tutors the Pasuk teens and provides help with difficult homework assignments. And the summer camp in July was a great experience for the teens and a wonderful conclusion to an intense school year full of quarantine obstacles. Our hearts are filled with gratitude to the Lord God, Who again and again proves to never abandon the Pasuk children and again and again answers our prayers. His rich blessings support our confidence that "with God no thing is impossible" (Luke 1:37). Financially sound
Pasuk Foundation is a volunteer organization and makes full use of the time and talents of volunteers, products and services from companies and various grants. This is how we keep our organizational costs low. Over 98% of donations received benefit the Pasuk child development program, according to the financial statements. Despite additional expenses for emergency relief, we are financially healthy and may end the year with a positive result - something to be thankful for! Annual Report
