One of our Pasuk teens describes the 2023 youth camp as "the best vacation ever." This year we are taking our youth on an unforgettable journey through the life of Joseph (Gen. 37-50) under the inspiring theme "Let go and let God. We will discover with them the deep brokenness and pain Joseph faced, the injustice that afflicted him, the temptations he resisted, and his unwavering faith in God. The beautiful coastal town of Danao, just an hour and a half drive from Cebu City, serves as the impressive setting for our youth camp. The elated youths step off the bus and are immediately welcomed by the tranquility and beauty of this location. We stay in a spacious three-story building, perfectly suited for our camp. We are grateful for the beautiful weather, the sun illuminating everything and bringing extra cheer. After leaving luggage in the dormitories, we gather in one of the rooms to go over the program. The program is brimming with creative, educational and fun activities that bring our young people closer together. There is plenty of room for meeting, biblical teaching and games. The last night of camp is celebrated around a crackling campfire, where enthusiastic teens and even counselors cannot resist the temptation to dance. Before returning to Cebu City, we wrap up camp with a refreshing swim in the azure sea water, followed by a tasty Filipino BBQ. The gratitude we see in the brown eyes of our Pasuk teens is priceless.
