Drinking water dream comes true

Update December 10, 2023 We are pleased to announce that thanks to your generosity, we have received over €5600 in donations for our drinking water project at Cebu Bible Church. The pump and water filter have now been installed. An official drinking water test has confirmed that the water is safe to drink. Soon we also hope to purchase the generator for backup power.

Two years ago, super typhoon 'Rai' caused devastation in Cebu. Many sponsor children were left homeless and affected by the consequences of this natural disaster. Pasuk Foundation immediately came to the rescue and provided emergency assistance to the affected families. One of the biggest challenges during this crisis was the lack of electricity and clean drinking water, which led to thirst and health problems, especially among the children. The importance of clean drinking water is more evident than ever. To ensure the basic needs of the sponsor children and support the community in emergency situations, Pasuk Foundation decided to drill a water well at Cebu Bible Church. After three weeks of intensive drilling through hard rocky soil, we joyfully found water at a depth of 26 meters on October 6. We are grateful to the Lord for this first successful step! Water filter and backup power supply Now that we have found water, the next step is to install a water filter system. We also aim to purchase a mobile generator as a backup power supply in case of power outages. Project costs and your contribution The total budget for this project is 6,000 euros and includes the cost of the water source with an electric pump, the water filtration system, piping materials and the purchase of the gasoline generator.
