Watch an impression of the Pasuk Youth Camp, a special and emotional experience in which young people were encouraged to put their trust in the Lord Jesus. The camp was centered around the theme "Regeneration," where during the speeches we reflected with the youth on the necessity of being born again (John 3:3). This emphasized the importance of acknowledging brokenness, confessing sins, and bringing them to Jesus, for His blood cleanses us from all sin (Eph. 1:7). Continue reading below the video.
During the youth camp, the teens candidly shared their struggles and testimonies, leading to intense moments of tears, repentance and joy. Some told of finally understanding the Gospel, while others spoke of the difficulty of standing firm as the only Christian in an environment where there is often little room for faith. Despite these challenges, they testified to God's faithfulness and goodness, and found refuge with Him.
"And He made you alive together with Him, when you were dead in the transgressions and uncircumcision of your flesh, by forgiving you all your transgressions, and erasing the handwriting that testified against us. This handwriting was against us with its provisions, and He removed it from the midst by nailing it to the cross."
- Colossians 2:13-14
Camp in this quiet location offered the teenagers a welcome escape from their daily lives in the crowded, dank slums where they live. For them, the camp complex, with its simple facilities and somewhat dirty beach, was an oasis of calm compared to their chaotic environment filled with noise, unrest and poverty. Far away from the constant threat of violence, drugs and pollution, here the youth could escape for a while and immerse themselves in nature and silence. This made the camp a valuable and unforgettable experience, where there was plenty of room for reflection and personal growth.
One of the joyful highlights was the colorful evening, where creativity took center stage and the children presented their artwork and costumes made of leaves. The last morning, just before departure, was dedicated to the personal drawings the teens had made. They were invited to share and explain their creations, which reflect their life stories. These colorful and moving works of art revealed stories full of pain and sorrow, but also of hope and growth, which left a deep impression on us. We will carry these special experiences and testimonies in our hearts forever.
