I wish every child a hopeful future and an eternal life with God
What always touches me most in the slums is the hopelessness in the eyes of children. It reminds me strongly of the emptiness and aimlessness of my own life, before the Lord Jesus called me in 2013. Since I became a Christian, I have discovered that God has “chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith” (James 2:5). It is my deepest desire that the Lord will use the Pasuk child development program to draw children and their families to Himself for a hopeful future and an eternal life with Him. And that the children will develop through good education into responsible, self-reliant adults, who in turn will help others.

Making a difference in the lives of children is so valuable and a great privilege
It is great to be part of the board of Pasuk. Through Martijn I came into contact with our foundation, in our previous congregations he could always speak passionately about it. There came a time when I experienced that God asked me to be open to new challenges within his kingdom. In a special way I came into contact with Martijn again and it turned out that the position of secretary had become available. A great moment to step in.
Trying to make a difference in the lives of children is a great privilege. They are allowed to share who Jesus wants to be for them and also to support them practically in education. In the Bible we can read about the great love that God has for children. I hope to be able to contribute to this at Pasuk.
