Our approach
Our primary focus is on children growing up in extreme poverty, who do have some food, clothing and shelter, but whose life situation (e.g., malnutrition and/or lack of resources) puts them at increased risk of dropping out of school or not being able to attend school at all. In doing so, we give priority to children who are missing one or both parents. Pasuk Foundation does not discriminate in terms of ethnicity or religion. Poverty Alleviation
Poverty is not just a lack of money, food or education. Poverty is a complex problem that can only be fought effectively if it is addressed on several fronts. That is why we support Pasuk children with an integrated approach to their mental, physical, social and spiritual poverty.

Where we work
Cebu City is centrally located in the Philippines, on the island of Cebu. This busy port city, along with neighboring cities, forms a gigantic metropolis with an estimated population of over 3 million. The differences between rich and poor are very large. Here you will find the largest shopping mall in Southeast Asia, modern office buildings and decadent hotels just steps away from smelly slums and malnourished children roaming the streets begging. Project partner
Our project partner "Cebu Bible Church" (CBC) is on the outskirts of one of the many slums that Cebu City has, not far from the old city center. Most people in this area live at or below poverty level and the church tries to assist families in their poverty whenever possible. Together with fifteen volunteers from CBC, Pasuk Foundation is committed to the development of vulnerable children from the slums in Cebu City.
